On Tuesday July 23^rd, THP dropped 156 challenges permitting those 156 ballots to be counted. The NEW and FINAL vote total is: 500 YES, 185 NO. This is a overwhelming 73% support for the union, with an incredible participation rate of 72% of all clerical employees voting. Amazing turnout! This result means you have WON the vote and are now unionized!

You have won your union vote! Trillium management continues to challenge 110 classifications. They have provided no evidence or justification, but they will have to soon. CUPE’s position is that ALL of these positions should be unionized. You will have the chance to negotiate this issue with the employer in your negotiations for a first Collective Agreement, and if the Hospital does not agree you can go back to the OLRB for a decision. In the meantime, all workers in the affected classifications should assume you will be included and participate in all union activities, including elections, bargaining surveys, meetings!
